Worth waiting on ATEC to restock distributors. This site was cheapest on Internet.
Screen is two layers of canvas-like material with rubberized coating over target area and stitched-in target numbers. Balls in target area fall into "pocket" between the two layers - catches them well & easy to get them back out.
Horizontal support rods were a little hard to get in because of small holes. These rods, like tent poles, are 3-piece, shock-corded, so fold up to fit in included carrying bag with screen.
Stand is not so portable (but wasn't advertised as being portable). It does easily assemble/disassemble and will fit, disassembled, in a car. Stand is sturdy, nicely painted, and stable on variety of surfaces. Reviews of other practice screens said ball hitting stand bent frame and ruined screen. Have hit this frame with balls several times & no evidence of damage.
Have had for 2 days & everyone if family enjoys it, even 8-year-old son who has had no interest in baseball.
