Iron Mike Pitching Machine Guard
The Iron Mike Pitching Machines are all very heavy duty, simple to use & come pretty much completely set up, ship by truck line, can be used and left outdoors all year round, will use leather balls (softball/baseball) or machine pitch dimple baseballs/softballs and throw between 25-85 mph since they have the same motor, drive system, electronics, etc.

Rack Fed or Hopper Fed?

It Is The the DELIVERY SYSTEM is what separates the 2 types .

The Basic Rack Fed Model (MP-5) holds 38 baseballs or 28 softballs.

This is ideal for those with 1 or 2 players in the family or where finances are a concern.

Easily transportable by 2 people.

The limitations would be the rack per se. at roughly ten swings each minute, you will be reloading every four minutes for baseball as well as every three minutes for softball.
You actually load the machine by hand, filling the rack,a 30 second process.

The Hopper Fed (MP-4) & Hopper Fed (MP-6) models each have baseball capacities of 600 baseballs or 400 softballs. The 2 hopper fed models look the same, even though there is an approximate $300 difference between the MP-6 and the MP-4.
That extra cost for the MP-6 model includes 55 added pounds of steel reinforcement welded into the front of the machine.

Both the MP-4 & MP-6 offer as options The Positive Feed Mechanism, which keeps balls flowing and gets rid of the sporadic pitch interruptions that happen when using leather seamed balls.

1 Year Warranty: All Iron Mike machine motors are covered under a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Electronic circuit boards on the control system are warranted against component failure for 30 days after installation or a maximum of 60 days after shipment from the factory. The warranty on electronic circuit boards does not cover damage caused by severe electrical surges, electrical storms or accidental damage by servicing technicians. Specifically excluded from automatic warranty replacement are pitching hands, pitching arms, power cables, and power spring.
